San Francisco State University-Integrating Operations, Curriculum, and Climate into Its Commitment to Zero Waste

SFSU has worked with the San Francisco Environment Department for decades to implement zero waste policies. Along the way, it has created powerful internship opportunities and innovative curriculums to support this work. This presentation will point out some of the challenges, but also share highlights of its innovative “Geography of Garbage” class and how Climate HQ and the Office of Sustainability are supporting Climate Fellows and other students working on Zero Waste projects.
