2026 Zero Waste Week Activities

Join us for a fantastic day exploring San Francisco’s bayside and learning about innovative local environmental efforts.

We will start the day at The Wild Oyster Farm, where we will learn how this nonprofit is working to restore native oyster populations in San Francisco Bay and support a healthier marine ecosystem.

Lunch will be a picnic at the Herons Head Park . Please bring your own lunch and something to share with everyone.

We will end the day with a visit to Recology’s Pier 96,

To visit Pier 96, you must drive or carpool. No bikes allowed. Please note – rideshare services are not readily available.

Will need to sign a waiver upon arrival.

Dress comfortably, wear safe, closed toe shoes; no heels. There will be many stairs and you can choose to not do the stairs but you will miss out on some of the details.
