A Countywide Approach: San Mateo County’s Campaign for Healthier Compost

Discover the strategies behind the San Mateo County Sustainability Department’s compost improvement campaign. In partnership with 15 other San Mateo County jurisdictions, the digital campaign launched in the spring of 2025 to educate residents and businesses on the importance of keeping plastic contaminants out of compost streams.
