Matthew Schoen

Matthew Schoen is senior at the University of California, Santa Barbara graduating with a BS in Environmental Studies in June 2026. He is the Founder and Executive Director of UCSB’s Shoe Recycling Program, overseeing the program’s year-round operations, stakeholder coordination, and public outreach efforts. Matthew also serves as Co-Chair of the UCSB Zero Waste Committee and as the Commissioner of Environmental Sustainability for UCSB Associated Students.
