SCS is an environmental engineering consulting firm, helping clients optimize solid waste operations and environmental controls. Established on the first Earth Day in April 1970, SCS is headquartered in Long Beach, CA. Our work comes from public and private sector clients; we provide comprehensive solid waste services, including waste characterization studies, zero waste plans, collection and disposal analyses, and community outreach and engagement programs to encourage responsible waste reduction, reuse, and recycling. Currently, we are helping clients affected by SB 1383 with methods and tools to reduce wasted food and recover and recycle food scraps.

Nothing Wasted Consulting launched in 2009, primarily focusing on events, venues, and subcontracting to larger environmental firms. Currently, our company provides consulting services to Bay Area tech companies, advising on current solid waste regulations and legislation as well as environmental startups, waste management authorities, garbage haulers, and local jurisdictions. Our team has expertise in conducting visual audits, waste characterizations, technical assistance outreach, route reviews, and C&D facility evaluations.
